THE FIRST IS FABULOUS.

The heart of Old Paris- Very fashionable, close to all the sights:
(Opera, Louvre, Palais Royal,Seine,Tuilleries, Place Vendome, the Madeleine, Eleyees Palace, American Embassy)
Is filled with small streets, charming bistros and restaurants and even sporting a twice weekly Farmer’s Market on the nearby Place du Marche St. Honore.

Suggestions and Tips

Getting Acquainted With the Neighborhood-Maps of subway and center of Paris on bookshelf for your use.

1-Internet- Nice Internet Café directly across r. Sourdiere at hotel Lion d’Or. Even have American keyboard. Ask about Subscription rates if you plan to use a lot during your stay.

2-For Those Small Items-Sort of like a 7-11 french style. "Huit a 8" . Open 8 to 8.Across ST Honore where it meets Sourdiere.

3-Groceries- Monoprix basement has complete supermarket and wine selection in basement of Rue Opera store about 2 blocks.

4-Farmer’s Market- On the Place every Wednesday at noon and Saturday mornings.

5-Restaurants-A Few Recommendations

The Ferme- Turn right on Sourdiere and go to end and there you are. Healthy and Delicious. breakfast, lunch., a light early dinner or just a coffee and croissant.

Auberge St. Roche- On r. St Roche . Great" Menu" , good house wine and very Parisian.

You will find a Guest Book in Living Room with recommendations and cards for other good" finds" nearby. Please add as you choose. There are too many things to tell you about Paris and I am still exploring as I am sure you will.
